Late & Long Weekend Post

Last weekend we went to Nana and Pop's house on our way to Pratt for my Great Uncle Ronald's funeral. Mom said he was a good man who was dedicated to his farm and his family. While at the funeral I got to spend time with Grandma and Great Aunt Laquita outside on the church swing set which was fun.
Afterwards we headed back to El Dorado to stay at Nana & Pop's. I was surprised by Jordy when I got home. He and Uncle Jack had come over to play. Us boys had a great time not having to share any toys with girls! After dinner mom went and got mint chocolate chip ice cream and I had more ice cream than mom, pops, or nana. I LOVE ICE CREAM! I didn't even get a tummy ache! I also stayed up way too late.
In the morning we had to get up really early so that we could make our Pastor's last church service at 9 a.m. in Council Grove. THEN, after church mom and I headed to Manhattan to pick up Aunt Janie so we could all ride together to Waterville which is about another hour past Manhattan. We were heading to my Great Grandpa's and his twin brother Don's 80th Birthday Party. I had a great time eating brisket and cheesy potatoes. I even took such a huge bite of brisket while mom wasn't looking and thew up all over my cute outfit. Luckily mom had spare clothes for me. Later I managed to inhale a whole piece of ice cream cake by myself. I may need to have my clothes let out after all the ice cream I've been eating.
It was a very long weekend of celebrating life with family and friends!

Fire! Fire!

Saturday I went with my Mommy and friends to the Council Grove Fire Department to check out all the trucks! My friend Connor and I liked to take turns "driving" the trucks. I like pretending to steer. The firemen even put on all their gear for us and turned on the sirens. I really didn't like either.

When we got home the Taylor's came over to eat Saturday lunch. I had a lot of fun playing outside with Dominique, Emily, and Juan. The girls even got me to fall asleep during a stroll around the block. They've all grown up so much, by the end of May they'll all be teenagers! The Taylor's are funny as usual and we had a great time visiting with them.

PJ Party

On Friday my friends Evie and Leo came to my house for a PJ party while their parent's went to a wedding. We played outside, rode downtown in my wagon, and watched part of the movie Madagascar! I had a great time and will going to their house for a "Pavement Party" play-date Thursday! This weekend we actually didn't have anything going on so we took lots of walks and played outside, and I've discovered Sesame Street videos online. I love being outside!

When we got home Sunday we went over the Luce's house to help the open up their pool. Dad help screw the cover holders back in the ground while I put all the spring covers in a basket. I can't wait till it's warm enough to go swimming!

Easter 2010

Easter was spend at Nana and Pop's house with all our family. I had a great time playing with my cousins. We played outside, hunted eggs, and I even got to help Pop's work on the tractor.

At Dad's wrestling banquet I ate lots of yummy pot luck food plus cheetos. I ran around where ever I wanted against my mother's wishes and tried to steal the show a couple of times :) After the banquet we went home to watch the Cats beat Xavier in double overtime!

Great Wolf Lodge - Spring Break 2010

This weekend the whole family got together for a weekend at the Great Wolf Lodge. It was a snowy and cold weekend but we stayed warm in the indoor water park. I had a great time with all my cousins, Aunts/Uncles, and Nana & Pops! We played, read books, snacked, and even went to story time together! I enjoyed the small waterfalls and the slides. Mom and Dad even took me into the arcade. Dad won me a ball and care bear! I played a driving game with mom and sat on a 4-wheeler game with dad. After we checked out we took Nana & Pops to Cheeseburger in Paradise and there was a balloon guy there who made me a Cookie Monster and Jordy a monkey!!! It was soooo cool! I have already busted both of his balloon legs and his cookie, so sorry, no pic. I was so exhausted when I got home that I fell asleep mid-meal in my highchair. It's been a great spring break staying at home with daddy all day!
